Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE)

Electrical and electronic appliances make up one of the fastest
growing waste streams in the UK. (WEEE)

Electrical waste

Since July 2007, the UK’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations allow people to recycle old electrical and electronic appliances at sites across the UK free of charge. Equally, similar policies exist across Europe and the Rest of the World. To help customers to identify which products are recyclable (or should be considered for repair or reuse), all new electrical and electronic products sold now carry a ‘crossed-out wheelie bin’ symbol. The MEEM Memory cable is one of those products.

As a manufacturer and retailer of electrical products, we have a legal obligation under these regulations. More than that, we really care about the environment and also making sure that devices like MEEM, where memory and potentially confidential data are concerned, are disposed of or recycled with care and efficiency.

Therefore if you buy a new MEEM Memory cable and would like the old cable to be recycled on your behalf, you can return the old cable to MEEM directly at the following address and we will dispose of it on your behalf:

MEEM Memory Cable (WEEE) c/o Quick Feet Ltd.
AG-5 Anglo Trading Estate.
Commercial Road,
Shepton Mallet,
Somerset BA4 5BY
United Kingdom

When ordering your new cable, please note in the text box provided(?) that you have an original cable that you want recycled and along with the new cable we will send you a pre-paid postage envelope to return the original along with its packaging if applicable. We will then recycle the cable appropriately on your behalf, whilst taking care to ensure that any confidential material on the MEEM Memory Cable is permanently erased.
