We created MEEM to protect your memories if your phone should get lost, stolen or damaged and to make it easier to move memories when you upgrade.

WHO ARE WE?

Kelly Sumner – CEO

Kelly has 40 years experience in hardware and software, starting as a trainee electronics engineer at Commodore in 1979, he progressed up the Commodore corporate ladder eventually becoming managing director of Commodore UK. From hardware he went into software, joining Gametek a US Nintendo/Sega publisher as European MD, then CEO. He merged Gametek into the fledgling publisher Take Two, as director and latterly he took the company to nearly $1 billion in sales launching products such as Grand Theft Auto. After garden leave he joined RedOctane (Guitar Hero) as a non executive, then became CEO, he sold RedOctane to Activision in 2006. Kelly has run two Nasdaq listed companies. Since returning to the UK he has invested in early stage tech companies.

In 2001 Kelly became CEO of Take- Two New York games publisher, and during his tenure revenues rose to $900m+. After Take- Two, Kelly became CEO of RedOctane (Guitar Hero), which he sold to Activision in 2006 for $160m. Kelly has recently been investing in early stage tech companies.

David Knox – COO

David has 30 years’ commercial experience in the interactive entertainment industry. He was one of the founding employees at Electronics Arts (EA) Europe, one of the world’s leading software publishers, and rose to a senior executive position of the $1bn revenue business. His career has spanned retail, sales, marketing, business planning and development.

Robert Brent – CFO

Robert has 18 years’ experience in finance and corporate finance. He was CFO at Calastone, a communications network company in financial services, where he was instrumental in raising £11m of equity capital to support global expansion. Prior to Calasone, Robert was the Senior Partner at Matrix Corporate Capital LLP. He was CFO at Eidos PLC and Square Enix Europe, a company he was instrumental in creating in 2009 through the sale of Eidos to Square Enix Holdings Ltd, one of the largest publishers in the video games industry.

Tony Rizzaro – US President

Tony founded On-Line Design one of the first truly interactive marketing agencies in the US and since then has built many successful businesses centered on disruptive technologies that have changed the industries they touched. For over 30 years he has been aggressively introducing “first to market” technologies such as sales force automation, first to web, first to mobile, and robust platforms like mSuite by movMOBILE for B2B and B2C organisations to help successfully launch and position major national and international brands.

Steve Grossman – Board Advisor

Steve has been a successful communication industry executive for over 20 years, with management experience in entertainment marketing, recording, motion pictures, television, and video games. He has financed, owned and operated communications related companies in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Steve is currently CEO of Planet Entertainment LLC. a game and security software company. Planet Games has released over 50 games since 2001 including million selling PlayStation and Nintendo titles.

Simon Harvey – CMO

Harvey founded an award winning agency in his early twenties working with companies across Europe, North America and Asia including Activision, Sony, Nintendo, Hewlett Packard, Take 2, BAFTA, TDK, Vivendi, NCSoft, advising, developing strategy and launching many of the world’s leading technology and entertainment franchises.

He was a Director of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, created the GameStars TV and live events franchise and drove sponsorship revenues of over $30M on a B2B and B2C events portfolio. He acted as an advisor to the UK’s Department for Education and Dept of Trade and Industry. Harvey has worked with everyone from David Beckham to the late Muhammad Ali, Star Wars to Guitar Hero and Bioshock to the Sex Pistols.

Jozeph Forakis – CDO

Jozeph has worked directly with many world-leading brands and was lead designer on the iconic Motorola v.70.

 

Our commercial team is based in the UK, the design studio is in Milan, Italy and the development team is located in Bangalore, India.
